Job Description

The Principal Architect is a core leader of Cornerstone's Global Information Systems group. In this role, you work on the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models. The Principal Architect provides the necessary design leadership and facilitates and orchestrates the delivery of targeted business outcomes. He/She will track and apply innovative and existing technologies, anchoring them in the business model to assess their potential, and use rapid prototyping approaches to evolve innovations.

You will create an environment that promotes innovation, continuous improvement, aligns with operating model consistency, reduces pain points, and empowers employees to better work, both internally and with business. In this role, you will collaborate with mid-to-senior level leaders and business operations team to drive transformative change across business applications at Cornerstone with improved customer experience.

In this role you will…

* Manage and develop the architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with technical teams that manage and design architecture for a single project or initiative
* Define principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
* Works closely with Sales, Marketing and Finance business owners to identify / understand business needs and translates these into effective solutions that are aligned with the technology roadmap and strategic direction of the team
* Define the vision and be responsible for growing and scaling the effectiveness and efficiency of our business systems
* Leads complex projects and ensures the success of enterprise-level application rollouts; determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions; conducts business reviews; documents current systems and develops recommendations; contribute in the planning of the overall organizational IT strategy
* Focus on removing any technical debt and managing technical feasibility
* Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
* Collaborate with peers and business partners to ensure effective planning, scoping and execution of projects as part of Cornerstone's technology roadmap

You have what it takes if you…

* 10+ years of broad IT industry experience with 3+ years of experience as successful enterprise/ solution architect highly desirable
* 7+ years of experience with Salesforce platform with extensive knowledge of Lightning, Apex, VisualForce and Force.com tools and other Salesforce apps
* Strong experience in Salesforce CRM, Apttus /CPQ, Service Cloud tools, Communities is highly desirable
* Knowledge of Netsuite, Boomi, Data Lake BI and other enterprise business systems preferred
* Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), ETL platforms, SoA, integrations, SOAP and REST and microservices
* Understanding of CSS, XLS, repositories (SVN/CVS) and Web programming experience using APEX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP protocols, AJAX, Flash, XML, and JSON
* Understanding of object-oriented concepts, abstraction/inheritance, as well as experience with object-oriented languages
* Should have experience in Enterprise architecture and be able to influence technical decisions
* Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
* Experience in Jira, Agile, Scrum, CI/CD
* Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
* Familiarity with domestic and foreign privacy laws (such as GDPR), and data security best practices
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, Master's degree in business or Finance preferred
