Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a Physics/Computer Scientist with experience developing and implementing machine-learning optimization algorithms to join their Physical Sciences and Systems business unit Cambridge, MA.

The successful candidate will have strong physics, algorithm-development, and machine-learning experience in the design, development and implementation of highly complex, real-time learning and control systems. The candidate will also be expected to support new business development by participating in proposals and making presentations to prospective customers. These projects may be sponsored by the Department of Defense, other Federal Government agencies or various commercial organizations.

Required Education and Experience:

* BS and 6 years of experience, MS and 4 years, or PhD degrees in Physics, Mathematics and/or Computer Science.
* Proficiency in C/C++ in a Unix environment and MATLAB; Java and Python experience..
* Active US Government security clearance at the Top Secret level

Desired Education and Experience:

* BS, MS or PhD degrees in Physics, Mathematics and/or Computer Science with a substantial software and hardware experience.
* 5 years of relevant experience.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
