What you'll be doing...

As a PHP JavaScript developer on the SORT Team, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize and scope feature requests, design and propose solutions to business challenges, and provide progress updates as you take features through the development process. Development process includes: design, coding, QA testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment. This position is on par with Eng IV Cslt positions in other work groups such as Network Systems.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for accepting and reviewing feature requests, writing code to develop/deliver the feature, and incorporating it into existing site architecture.
* Engage stakeholders to collect, document and get sign-off on feature requests.
* Act as development lead on behalf of NMC (as assigned). Develop, test and deploy features as agreed.
* Provide support for the assigned reporting area(s) , including troubleshooting and end-user support.
* Act as consultant to leadership and project owners to identify system involvement, data availability and to design web or server-based solutions for the stated need(s).
* Research tools, best practices, and improve skills through self-learning. Look for gaps in existing functionality and proactively design solutions.
* Strong knowledge of NMC tools, processes and scope of support.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant.
* Strong knowledge of NMC tools, processes and scope of support.
* MySQL/Oracle, PHP/JavaScript.
* Python/Linux scripting language.
* Handle multiple priorities, ability to manage feature requests from initial consultation all the way to delivery.
* Experience in PHP development (LAMP stack with Oracle database) and the existing web applications used (NMC Web and Data Warehouse).
* Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to drive consensus.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
* Reliably meet ambitious and changing deadlines, track progress on multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high quality work.
* Multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment based on changes in customer priorities.
