The Opportunity

With the continued growth of the corporate interiors (workplace) practice area across the firm, the Chicago office is looking to fill a strategic role in that practice area with an individual who is looking for advancement and growth in his / her professional career.

Perkins Eastman is looking for a seasoned design leader in workplace / strategies who is actively involved in the Chicago real estate marketplace and who has a track record of generating business opportunities.

Design Leadership

As Design leader you will oversee creative / collaborative teams dedicated to design innovation and excellence in research, strategies, planning and as a thought leader working across offices with fellow design leaders. To use your unique design perspective to bring new approaches to the design process develop next-generation talent, and grow client relationships across offices in a global market.

Specifics include:

Lead the creative efforts on client projects, developing overall design concepts the big idea- generate planning concepts and design presentation strategies

Mentor and provide creative direction to design teams at all phases.

Act as the primary design interface with clients and consultants

Collaborate with team members and colleagues across offices to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy

Lead / produce the creation of space plans, furniture plans, elevations, materials and finish selections, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation

Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives

Review drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted to ensure design integrity

Coordinating with technical team members and consultants.

Meeting deadlines and keeping projects (or phases) on schedule and within fee.
