Division Information

PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

The Software Engineer will need to have a solid background and experience developing software on the Pega platform. This person will be relied upon as a subject matter expert of the Pega technology, its capabilities and best practices. A successful candidate will be highly self-directed, an excellent problem-solver, communicator and be able to work with all levels of the organization. As a key resource, the candidate will get an opportunity to learn the Warranty, Dealer Systems and IT processes and to drive projects

Job Functions / Responsibilities

* Work with management and users to define, develop, and implement innovative business solutions
* Provide technical estimates
* Perform thorough unit testing and some functional testing as needed
* Demonstrated Software design and Technical Architecture Experience
* Work with distributed users and resources in developing common solutions
* Contributes to the design of the application typically focused on specific automation or integration activities
* Identifies reusable components and implement accordingly
* Participates in the compilation of the Use Case documentation as required
* Interfaces with the Business Analysts to address the configuration associated with the Use Cases and Requirements
* Management and support of the various environments
* System performance tuning
* Assists in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation Pega Client Support
* Has an understanding of the supporting tools available to Architects such as the Pega PDN. Must have working knowledge of how to search for documentation on different topics and how to open a support ticket at Pega
* Has a good understanding / hands on experience with System Management Application (SMA) to troubleshoot the system
* Has a clear understanding of Pega's Frameworks and their offerings
* Create data classes, and properties to use in a Pega implementation
* Automate decision-making throughout an application to improve process efficiency
* Incorporate and manage reference data to allow applications to adapt to changing business conditions

Qualifications

* Pega knowledge (including certification): minimum CSA with 2+ years of experience or CSA
* 2+ years working with Pega as a Pega Systems Architect
* 2+ years working on software development projects
* Pega 7.2 platform
* Strong oral and written communications
* Familiarity with Pega Warranty / Manufacturing Frameworks
* Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to work well with others
* Demonstrated strong communication skills and self-motivation

Education

* Bachelors in computer related field
* Java skills
