Job Description

Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies is seeking a PC Support Technician III to provide intermediate MAC and PC hardware and software support for a labs or departments. Ensure that MAC's and PCs are maintained and operating effectively and that employees, faculty and/or students have the technological support needed to complete their work. Set up and configure MAC's, PCs, and local area networks, load software and ensure that the computer is operating to standards. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and perform intermediate maintenance and repair of parts and equipment.

Please note this position is located in at our Midtown Center, 11 W. 42nd Street. The hours for this position will be: Monday - Thursday 12:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Required Education:High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training.Required Experience:1-2 years of related experience.Preferred Experience:Relevant certification. Experience providing customer support in an IT environment. Experience with Ghost Imaging and desktop support.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Intermediate understanding of computing procedures and standards and desktop configurations. Expertise in MAC and PC configuration and troubleshooting to be able to handle the majority of standard procedures independently. Customer service orientation.
