Job Description

The Archdiocese of Chicago is the third largest diocese in the United States and serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in The Archdiocese, pastored by Cardinal Blase J. Summary:

The manager will partner closely with key business stakeholders to establish and drive the organizational performance management agenda.

This includes projects in areas such as: competency development, talent capability assessments, performance management process definition, new technology adoption, and training.

Essential Functions:

* Support the design and implementation of career development and performance management programs strategies, processes, and tools.
* Establish key metrics to accurately define the competencies and skills required for key roles/department along with individual performance mapping to set-up the KPI framework
* Support creation and maintenance of competency catalogue.
* Support performance management program design and strategy.
* Work with the organization to ensure performance management processes are being adhered to.
* Instructional Design to ensure that all performance management systems are accurately understood and exercised.
* Collaborate on training and development strategy, standards and programs based on emerging Competency Model
* Providing ongoing support to ensure that performance management systems are being used to effectively
* Support assessment of Performance Management Technology and integration into HRIS
* Lead relevant adhoc Performance Management or HR projects and initiatives

Requirements:

* Adept performance management, training and staff development.
* Ability to analyze, design and effectively implement programs with strong project management skills
* Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and presentation skills, and sense of urgency
* Flexible - see the big picture, works the details and connects the dots
* High commitment and passion for people development
* Ability to work independently, in formal and informal teams, and lead through influence
* Solid understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

* At least 5 years of experience in HR with 3+ years of direct experience in developing, implementing or evaluating performance appraisal systems
* Experience in multiple industries and not-for-profits
* Management / Direct people supervision
