Job Overview The Corporate Accounting Systems group is looking for an Oracle Functional Analyst to play a key role in implementations, enhancements and support related to Oracle Projects Costing and Billing modules at Qualcomm. Primary responsibilities include - - Interact with key users, accounting team, business partners to understand and document requirements and provide solutions. - Perform gap analysis to determine configuration and development changes. - Work with business partners, peers and development team to design and implement system modifications. - Create system configurations documents, functional design documents, test plans, test cases, user training documents and implementation documents. -Support domestic/International initiatives (upgrades, new deployments, etc) -Participate in regression testing -Work with software vendor support on system issues and bugs fixes - Create SQL queries against Oracle tables to troubleshoot, ad-hoc reporting as needed. Minimum Qualifications -Bachelor's degree and 3+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 5+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree. Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years hands-on experience supporting Oracle Projects Costing and Billing modules on R12 version in a multi-organization, multi ledger environment in a functional role. -Knowledge of accounting principles. - Experience interacting with business partners to discuss and understand requirements. - Experience analyzing data and translating business requirements into technical specifications. - Knowledge of integration points to Projects from other Oracle modules e.g. AP, AR, FA, Inventory -Technical knowledge of the tables and able to perform SQL queries for trouble shooting issues. - Strong communication skills including customer interactions, working sessions. - Working functional knowledge of other Oracle Financial Modules. - Ability to work independently with limited general supervision Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Accounting and/or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience Keywords
