The Corporate Systems team delivers technology solutions for corporate functions globally and has an opening for a Senior Application Analyst in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on position tasked with high visibility projects and assignments. Business analysis, data reporting and analysis, and development skills are critical to success.
Dimensional recently implemented Oracle Fusion Financials; this role will be instrumental in the enhancement of the core accounting module and will help deliver the rollout of additional modules and integrations. You will work on the latest version of the Oracle Fusion Financials platform and will implement the newest features.
You will partner with the Accounting and Finance department and their global business customers in all aspects of a project life cycle, including but not limited to defining requirements, scope, milestones, and operational support for technology solutions designed to meet the firm's objectives. Projects will include both third-party system integrations as well as in-house custom developed solutions.
* Contribute to the implementation of features added to the Oracle Fusion Financials platform. * Work with vendors, consultants, and contractors brought into the team to augment the team's capabilities. * Provide expert-level support for products and processes owned by the tech team, including the Oracle Fusion platform, escalating to Oracle when appropriate. * Provide technical expertise for key system processes (e.g. monthly closing of sub-ledgers, sub-ledger accounting) with an eye on global efficiencies. * Assist with continuous process improvement and provide insights into best practices. * Assist Finance and Accounting clients with their IT interactions including directing support requests to the appropriate team. * Advise business clients and IT management of technology capabilities and recommend strategies to maximize the benefits of new/existing technologies.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. * 7+ years of experience implementing, upgrading or supporting Oracle Fusion or Oracle R12 EBS. * 1+ year experience implementing or supporting Oracle Cloud/Fusion. * Technical experience with: * Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Procurement, * Procure to Pay (special emphasis on Approvals), ACH processing and SmartView/FRS/OTBI.
* Ability to maintain several concurrent projects while providing realistic delivery dates and managing customer expectations in a fast-paced environment. * Strong prioritization, organizational and conflict resolution skills. You know how to balance operational problems and incidents against project work and deadlines. * Client-focused problem solver. You listen to your clients and don't push your viewpoint. * Excellent written, oral and presentational skills. You know how to minimize tech-talk when working with non-technical clients.
* Accounting background. * Technical leadership experience driving, executing and meeting project deliverables. * Experience working at a financial institution. * Experience supporting enterprise systems with a background in a large, global, highly complex environment. * Experience working on Waterfall projects and on Agile teams. * ISTM and SDLC proficiency.
