Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Japanese-English bilingual with staffing and project management experience to join our Japan Business Team based in Gigster's San Francisco headquarters. As Japan Talent Operations Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, screening and maintaining a community of product managers, software engineers, designers and other freelancers for projects in Japan and the US.

The Japan Talent Network Manager will work closely with our Japan partner as well as our San Francisco-based Talent Operations and Project Fulfillment teams to build our capacity for delivering high-quality technical projects in Japan. You will need to think strategically about how to source, assess and maintain our freelance talent network, while also understanding how to form and motivate high-performing, cross-cultural technical teams. You will also be charged with managing our Japan-based community in a way that keeps them actively engaged.

You will bring experience and a passion for bridging cultural differences between the US and Japan. You will also have bilingual fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English, and experience with project management and technical recruiting. You should be a great people person and have excellent communication skills in written and spoken Japanese and English.

ギグスターでは、サンフランシスコの本社日本事業部門にて日英バイリンガルで、人材採用とプロジェクト管理に経験をもつ意欲ある方を募集しています。ジャパン・タレント・オペレーション・マネージャーとして、日本とアメリカの両方でプロジェクトに携わる、プロダクトマネージャー、ソフトウェアエンジニア、デザイナーのフリーランサーから成るコミュニティの採用、選考、維持の責任を負います。

Core Responsibilities

* Manage operations for our Japan Talent Network (JTN)
* Assist with operations for our Gigster Talent Network (GTN)
* Develop and implement strategies for finding, screening and retaining freelancers with technical skills (project managers, software engineers, designers, others) for the JTN
* Work with Gigster on forming teams from our JTN to successfully deliver projects for Japanese corporate clients
* Communicate regularly with our JTN freelancers in Japanese and English
* Train and develop team members from our Japanese partner to effectively manage our JTN
* Travel to Japan as necessary, and be available during some Japanese working hours
* Work with the Operations, Fulfillment, Product, and Engineering teams to implement solutions that improve the overall Gigster experience over time
* Create dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results and monitor key metrics around Japan Talent Network's deliverable quality and feedback
* Share your knowledge of Japan to help drive the creation of tools to leverage your time and adapt Gigster systems to the Japanese environment

Qualifications/Proven Skills/Experience

* Excellent communication skills, and fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English.
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in staffing, project management, or operational roles.
* Proven project and team leadership abilities, and a strong team orientation.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work through complex and ambiguous scenarios and multiple stakeholders in HQ and on the Talent Network.
* Demonstrated ability to work with Japanese clients, employees, and freelancers.
* Familiarity with technical project management a plus.
* Track record of consistently excellent customer satisfaction.
* High emotional intelligence, and passion.
