Job Description

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an Operations Center Technician to our location in Renton, WA.

We are seeking an Operations Center Technician to provide 24x7 Situational Awareness and incident response through monitoring and support of the network, servers, applications and interfaces and coordinates all information technology related Major Events across the enterprise. In addition they are responsible for ensuring backups are successful and media recovery processes are adhered to. Please note that this position requires working GRAVEYARD shift.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

* Responds and initiates to major incident at the direction of Incident Commander. Drafts and sends MI communications.


* Understands and writes simple scripts in PowerShell, Perl, VBS, python or other modern / object oriented scripting language.


* Understands LAN, UDP/TCP, ports and services, Nets/Subnets/Routing. Basic network gear configuration experience in addition to familiarity with one or more of the following: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto devices.


* Has strong user skills in desktop OS; Basic admin experience with PSJH server and desktop OS. Basic experience using vSphere, XenCenter.


* Has basic host security knowledge; understands the concept of a firewall. Able to discern various security risks such as malware, viruses, spam, phishing, etc. and take an appropriate response. Escalates security incidents appropriately.


* Can perform basic database creation and monitoring. Understands basic replication. Can be responsible for basic database backup and recovery.



Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Information Services OR equivalent education/experience.


* 3 years Information Services technical leadership experience in leading IS infrastructure operations teams.


* Possesses strong technical aptitude.


* 1 or more current certifications in A , Net , Sec , CCENT, CCNA, MCP, MCSE, or equivalent.
