Job Description

Leads a team of multiple developers, designers and learning related experts in the Design and development of innovative and effective online or blended learning programs. Acts in the capacity of Sr. online learning developer and instructional designer consulting and delivering on advanced and innovative learning programs to clinical and operational departments through the implemention of online or blended learning solutions. Leads a team of multiple developers, designers and learning related experts in the design and development of innovative and effective online courses, tutorials, simulations, games, videos, exams, assessments, podcasts, job aids, reference materials, and other learning activities. Leads the process for continuous improvement of online learning within the Montefiore Learning Network. The Sr. Online Learning Developer undertakes sophisticated projects that require the skills normally found in multi-disciplinary teams including creative, technical, and content specialists. The leader in this role will actively research emerging technologies and apply best practices to our learning offerings.

Minimum education Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's preferred.

Proficiency with common elearning authoring tools and web development software, including Articulate Studio and Storyline and Adobe Captivate. Experience with InDesign preferred.

Knowledge of instructional design methodology (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory.

Demonstrated ability to develop effective and engaging online learning activities. (Work samples will be requested.)

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), specifically uploading and testing content, assigning items to users, and basic reporting. Experience developing SCORM-compliant content.

Ability to identify, recommend, and lead the adoption of new technologies.

Experience facilitating classroom-based training preferred.

Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Solid project management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to set and meet project deadlines.

Excellent communication skills. Ability to work with internal clients in a consulting capacity. Ability to lead peers on projects or team initiatives.
