Summary

At Balfour Beatty Construction in Dallas, Texas we are seeking an Office 365 - Microsoft Exchange Administrator to join our team. This is a key role within the US business maintaining Microsoft Exchange 2013 and Office 365, the Windows servers in the environment (physical and virtual), backup systems (Symantec Backup Exec 2014), and networking services in an Enterprise data center environment by troubleshooting, tracking, reporting, performing upgrades of hardware and software, and improving efficiency by evaluating system network functions.

Essential Functions

* Manage MS Exchange Server 2013 on-premises and Office 365, and be able to troubleshoot and resolve server issues, user and mailbox management
* Handle certificate updates, troubleshoot mail routing issues, apply malware, spam and connection filters, and conduct quarantine searches.
* Manage Active Directory including deploying GPOs, managing trusts, migrations and AD objects management.
* Manage and administer the backup of Enterprise systems using Symantec Backup 2010 and 2014, understand backup systems and architectures, and best practices of Enterprise backup.
* Understand snapshot and AMI backups in AWS or Azure.
* Troubleshoot system issues and outages. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies such as troubleshooting system issues and outages.
* System security, including adherence to documented processes and procedures and compliance auditing.
* Follow operating procedures and utilize established support tools for analysis and reporting requirements.
* Execute a planned program of virus updates, patch and service pack management, including testing, deployment staging, and documentation.
* Install, maintain and manage Windows SUS, HBSS, and other servers for automated updates.
* Performs regular system maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning.
* Troubleshoot legacy Windows and OS issues.
* Independently utilize all available resources (product support, knowledge bases, online resources, etc.) to ensure timely resolution of issues.
* Interface with Network Engineers, Database Administrators and Application Teams to optimize systems use and configuration.
* Actively participate in project planning to ensure timely and successful completion of projects assigned to Windows server team.
* Provide technical knowledge and recommendations to staff members as required.
* Interface with hardware vendors to maintain and schedule repair of equipment in a timely manner and /or provide hardware repair and maintenance as required.
* Ensure and implement the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of Systems, Applications and/or Services (Hardware & Software).

Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field required.
* 5+ years of experience and a deep knowledge of administering Microsoft Exchange 2013 - 2016 and Office 365 on-premise.
* In depth knowledge of Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016 server operating systems.
* Deep knowledge of Active Directory configuration and administration and Windows Server Management including knowledge across DNS, DHCP AND DFS administration.
* Experience in cloud Saas, or IaaS, Azure or AWS.
* Familiarity with scripting including VBA, Powershell, Batch, etc.
* Ability to follow up on assignments from senior members of the team, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
* A willingness to learn new systems and new skills, and sometimes work evenings and weekends with little advance notice due to outages, updates etc.

Preferred Experience

* Local candidates highly encouraged to apply.
* Previous or current A/E/C Information Technology experience, helpful, but not required.
* Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, WMware, AWS, or Azure or related fields are preferred, but not required.
* Experience using Cloud Platforms such as AWS and Azure.
* Experience using Symantec Backup Exec 2014.
* Experience using VMware Infrastructure 5.5 or higher.
* Experience using Cisco Networking hardware and software (routing, switching, and firewall).
