TEAM OVERVIEW:

Our Web Services team is a fast growing, full-service development team for Northwell Health that seeks to expand in the exciting and fast paced Office365 Azure, and SharePoint cloud technologies. POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a full-time Sharepoint Developer to join our fast-paced development team. Applicants should be well-versed in modern technologies, both Office365 Sharepoint and Azure PaaS , to support a broad range of project types. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to work with independently, or with a team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

* Manage site collection features, security, content types, and SharePoint out-of-the-box functionalities.
* Implement SharePoint lists, libraries, web parts, workflows, sites/sub-sites, and SharePoint applications.
* Migrate and/or restructure existing SharePoint sites into newer versions.
* Establish application security standards, capacity planning, governance, and system tuning.
* Create and develop clean, well-tested, quality code according to spec, on time, and on budget
* Create and maintain organized, project and application documentation including change logs, bug tracking, comments
* Collaborate closely with the creative team to transform visual mock ups into web content
* Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
* Help scope project requests by breaking down large asks into measurable pieces
* Prescribe technology recommendations based on project requirements
* Quickly learn new technologies or tools necessary to meet project requirements

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

* BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience

Experience:

* 2 years of Industry experience preferred
* 4-8 years experience as Software Development Engineer; preferred for the Healthcare setting Experience in a MS365 SharePoint development role.
* Experience in a MS365 SharePoint Engineering role.
* Experience in SharePoint Out-of-the-box functionalities and solutions.
* Experience with SharePoint Development/Engineering and Administration skills, OneDrive, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint workflow, SharePoint permissions, PowerShell, Spfx and React.
* Experience with C# programming and PowerShell scripting.
* Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
* Experience in Sharepoint Premise to Cloud migration.
* Proficient with responsive design concepts and mobile optimization.
* Understanding of SEO best practices, schema markup, accessibility standards, browser compatibility, and page speed optimization.
* Experience with a back-end scripting language such as C# or PHP.
* Familiarity with databases (MSSQL, MySQL, CosmosDB, etc.)
* Knowledge of data structures and design patterns.
* Experience using Visual Studio or similar IDE.
* Experience using TFS, GIT.
* Experience with ASP.NET MVC.
* Familiarity Azure PaaS.

Travel Requirements:

* May require local travel

Working Arrangements:

* May require after hours on call support.
* Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
