NOC Supervisor

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking an experienced Supervisor for the third shift Network Operations staff

In this role you will:

* Be responsible for maintaining service availability for all critical applications across the Auto Club enterprise.
* Be responsible for managing the day to day operational support.
* Coordinate the implementation of changes into the production environment and resolve computer related problems, providing immediate recovery of services.
* Provide technical knowledge and direction to subordinates.
* Coordinate internal and external escalation of issues.
* Monitor and document subordinate performance.
* Develop training and developmental plans for each team member.
* Participate on various projects ensuring adequate knowledge is transferred from project design to production implementation and on-going support.
* Provide management reporting of daily activities.
* Develop, build and report performance metrics of the Network Operations Center.

About You:

* Expert knowledge of server Windows, Linux, Unix and z-OS operating system required.
* Intermediate knowledge of z-OS (MVS) operating systems and JES2 subsystems in a multi-platform, multi-data center environment desired.
* Working knowledge of industry standard Data Center automation, automated balancing, output management and change management processes.
* Technical understanding of various types of systems, platforms and networks such as z-OS (MVS/JCL), Windows/Unix/Linux servers.
* Working knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN) data and voice systems.
* Be willing to mentor and provide guidance to other staff members.
* Business degree in computer science, computer operations, or data processing related study desired.
* Experience in integrated systems, support or job recovery functions.
* Experience working with automated scheduling and job restart software.
