Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Sr. Network/Systems Engineer, in the Herndon, VA area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The Innovative Security Solutions (ISS) Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer's success is driving our growth.

A qualified candidate will provide an in-depth technical support for troubleshooting networking issues that arise from a complex, multi-networked Cross-Domain solutions system. Has deep understanding of network device (router and switch) configuration from multiple vendors. Troubleshoots general networking issues arriving on the system, including at the workstation (endpoint) level.

The Sr. Network/Systems Engineer will be an integral member of a multi-functional 10 person Help Desk team, responsible for supporting the customer's network requirements and mission needs. This position will support 8 hours/day, 5 days a week. There is an on call requirement to support the customer's mission needs when required.

A qualified candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

* Supports all functions of network and telecommunications equipment into operational systems using international, US, and Military standards.
* Documents equipment layout taking into account power, cooling and security requirements.
* Performs end-to-end systems testing.
* Integrates serial and IP encryptors into networks and systems.
* Implements new technologies as appropriate.
* Integrates and installs new hardware.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active/current TS/SCI is required.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong network troubleshooting skills (especially Layer 2 and Layer 3)
* Understands Serial and IP encryptors
* Understands emerging telecommunication trends and technologies
* Deep knowledge of Cisco IOS configuration
* Experience with Juniper SRX setup and configuration (JunOS)
* CentOS based Linux
* Strong written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience supporting military personnel
* CCNA Certification
* Experience with Red Hat
* DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant
* Experience with Wireshark/Tcpdump
* Experience working as part of Help Desk Team
