Job Description

As DealerOn's Network & Systems Engineer you will be responsible for network and systems aspects of infrastructure as well as support to DealerOn's production system environments. The successful Network & Systems Engineer will be creative and a strong problem-solver, joining and working with a team of highly-skilled, motivated people dedicated to supporting the current and future platform infrastructure as well as internal technical clients. This is a mid-level technical position, located in the DealerOn Headquarters office (Rockville, MD).

Essential Functions

* Engineer, design, build, provision, troubleshoot and maintain Virtualized server and storage environments
* Develop system operations and maintenance procedure documents and/or videos to be used for training users as well as technical team members
* Engineer, design, build, troubleshoot and maintain network switching, routing and wireless access point infrastructure (in collaboration with security team)
* Engineer, design, build, deploy, troubleshoot and maintain Active Directory, backup systems, infrastructure equipment and power systems
* Assist security related remediation planning, testing and execution as directed
* Resolve escalated network and related systems issues
* Initiate projects and build cross functional teams to continue to improve the reliability of the systems and networks
* Plans and manages network and system capacity (compute, memory, storage)
* Manages systems and network projects from proposal through operations as directed
* Manages the performance of network from a high-level viewpoint and leads efforts across technical teams to optimize system performance and resiliency
* Acts as a technical liaison to Management, DevOps, Development, Security, and IT Helpdesk Desk Teams for network architecture expertise, troubleshooting, project delivery and other assistance
* Define, implement and maintain systems and network operations procedures for DealerOn's production environments and creates reports as well as completing service tickets.
* Ensures solution conformance to company policies (including but not limited to Change Management, Purchasing, Security, and IT Service Management)
* Participate in creation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conduct DR testing, identify and remediate gaps in the plan
* Provide required information/reports to management and various teams in a timely manner
* Participation in after hours, emergency support and weekend maintenance as needed
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills/Experience

* 4+ years of Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, administration, troubleshooting
* 2 years scripting, task automation, and configuration management
* 2 years designing, administering and troubleshooting networks and related hardware
* 3+ years of VMware vSphere and ESXi (must have 6.X and above experience) engineering, administration and troubleshooting
* 3+ years SAN storage (cloud and on premise), engineering, administration and troubleshooting
* 1+ year Azure instance, network and storage engineering

Preferred Skills/Experience

* VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
* MCSA: Cloud platform - Microsoft Azure, Datacenter engineering

Education / Training experience

* Associates Degree in technical field or related field, required
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field of computer science, information systems or related field, preferred
