Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Identify, analyze, define and coordinate user, customer and stakeholder needs and translates them into technical requirements.
* Help business units identify technology solutions with the potential to improve technical capabilities.
* Work with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints, and develop requirements and concept of operations documentation.
* Work with stakeholders to identify best-fit technical solutions for business unit needs. - Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Provide conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution.
* Identify and manage dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure.
* Evaluate industry offering to identify products and technologies with the potential to support the design.
* Identify potential environmental impacts on systems.
* Record lessons learned, processes and procedures, and other pertinent quality topics in appropriate formats.
* Resolve schedule problems and ensure developed applications and systems are transitioned to customers in a timely manner.
* Validate system elements and requirements.
* Develop and implement test plans for commercial off the shelf (COTS) and custom developed systems.
* Ensure all product and administrative documentation is completed and maintained in order to ensure continuity and historical reference.
* Ensure deliverables meet all relevant quality and security standards.
* Meet the divisions O&M and availability needs for all technical implementations.
* Maintain and publish updates for tools for all division officers.
* Configure network switches/routers.


* Create and maintain standard operations procedure, asset management of software and network devices.


* Troubleshoot network failures, design virtual environment as needed in fast pace settings.


* Cable and equipment installation



Required Skills:

* Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7 years of related experience.
* On-the-job experience troubleshooting and problem solving both technical and non-technical issues.
* On-the-job experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
* CCNA or CCNP
* Server Management
* VMware Experience
* Network administration/operations experience
* Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Cloud computing infrastructures and virtual networking.
* Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the creation of automation scripts for system operations and maintenance.
* Clearance level required is TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
