Position Description:

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Network Security Architect. You will enhance the cyber security posture of seven (7) civilian government agencies through improved implementation and enhancement of network monitoring and control tools and processes. You will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of cyber risks and will also work closely with a variety of agency stakeholders, supporting their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project focused on improving federal cybersecurity at the seven target agencies over the next six (6) years.

* Ability to lead and deliver network understanding for implementing network capabilities and services for a major cyber security program supplying guidance to all contract personnel for DHS and other targeted agencies and organizations participating in the CDM program.
* Providing direct and indirect network solutions and integration of solutions by leading and assisting in the delivery of cyber security projects for designated agencies to improve the network security posture of the receiving agency.
* The successful candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual, with a strong network architecture and security background who excels integrating, operating and deploying network and security technology and solutions including interacting with clients.
* The successful candidate is a self-starter who works effectively highly dynamic environment.
* Expertise with networks and network security, management of firewalls, security policies and military networks.
* Experience with routing and switching with Cisco and Juniper Routers and switches.
* Experience with MLPS, BGP, ISIS and OSPF.
* Expertise in cyber security, team provisioning, supporting and managing transitions including FedRAMP-certified cloud solution and supporting continuing operational support.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

* Possesses, leads and applies expert knowledge of the development of a secure Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) network solution and architecture.
* Expert with vast experience in designing networks, including LANs, WANs, connections to the Internet, Intranets and other data communication systems.
* Creates tests and evaluations of networks.
* Their key responsibility will include an in-depth understanding of agencies' connection flow to effectively place new CDM components across agencies on premise and remote environments.
* Evaluates network/security standards and procedures.
* Plans the design, coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of security program from a network architecture perspective for an organization.
* Functions as a technical expert for general network architecture related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
* Recommends network/security solutions to support customers' requirements.
* Establishes and satisfies network security requirements based upon the analysis and working knowledge of network architecture and security models and methods for integrating security for the CDM solution within various agency environments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

* Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 10+ years of related experience, or 7+ years of related experience and a Master's degree.
* Expert knowledge and experience in network security architecture design.
* Very experienced in using professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
* Very skilled in the ability to interpret business issues and recommend best practices of security architectures.
* Demonstrated skills in the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
* Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
* CISSP is required

Desired:

* Experience in managing and leading/directing the work of others on projects similar to the size, scope and complexity of the work and environment providing network architecture technical leadership for IT network security and service delivery to multiple government agencies.
* Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of network security design using existing and emerging technologies to achieve enterprise solutions.
