Current Opportunity

Perspecta is currently seeking a highly motivated Subject Matter Expert to fill a Key "Technical Manager" contract position. If you are a career orient IT professional with experience in, and a passion for, data network management and troubleshooting to support a highly visible government agency, here is the opportunity for you.

Supporting a Network Operations Center (NOC) operating on a 24/7/365 schedule, the Technical Manager provides overarching support the NOC Team collectively working to maintain Network stability ensuring that contract Performance Work Standards (PWS) are achieved, allowing our customer to meet its mission objectives.

Outages impacting this agency can have life and death implications and national press visibility. A commitment to the agencies mission is paramount. The working environment is dynamic, fast paced, often with conflicting priorities. The ability to adapt and adjust and proceed is key to success.

Problem Manager Job Description

* Responsible for managing the lifecycle of all network infrastructure problems.
* Responsible for making temporary solutions (workarounds) available to incident management and for managing the development of final solutions for known errors.
* Responsible for performing trend analysis of incidents in order to prevent future incidents from happening.
* Responsible for problem identification, recording, investigation and diagnosis.
* Responsible for communicating with the CBP Problem Manager and other government POCs for all problems. Shall act at the contract Point of Contract (POC) for all Problem oversight and coordination.
* Responsible for the effective implementation of the CBP Problem Management process and for ensuring that problems are managed and reported in accordance with the CBP Problem Management process. Responsible for ensuring that all problems are properly resolved and closed.
* Responsible for providing recommendations to the CBP Problem Manager for the continuous improvement of Problem Management Process. CIOP-SP3 Labor Category - Systems Engineer Level III.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field and minimum of 8 years' experience - OR - a Master Degree in an IT related field and a minimum of 6 years' experience - OR - in lieu of a Degree a minimum of 12 years' experience.
* ITIL Certified
* CCNP - OR - Net+, router/switching/FW/load balancing proficiency with 4-6 years' experience
