Job Description

Position Description: Leads and directs technical engineering process for planning, design and architecture. Monitors and manages the healthcare network, security and wireless infrastructure. Creates and maintains documentation. Maintains hardware and software standards, evaluates new products and solutions related to business requirements. Develops and modifies technology networks, addresses function, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs in an efficient and productive manner. Helps ensure that the integrity and security of the network environments remain intact by acting as the liaison between the Hospital, contractors and vendors. Offers technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers by providing the quality review plan and engineering decisions of their work. Requires staying current on network engineering and automation approaches, technologies and techniques. Provide on-call support as needed. Have the ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and deadlines. Have the ability to navigate through standard office setting. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, sit 4-6 hours per day and be able to stand and/or walk for 2-4 hours per day May perform other duties as assigned. # Job Specification [Required] EDUCATION: Bachelor#s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field CERTIFICATION: CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, CCSP or CCIE EXPERIENCE: Four (4) + years# experience supporting Cisco LAN/WAN networks in enterprise environments. Hands on experience configuring and supporting Cisco routers, switches and firewalls. Experience with automation tools or scripting languages such as Ansible, Python or Puppet is a plus. Have a strong understanding of networking topologies and protocols. Knowledge of technologies related to MPLS, SD WAN, QoS, BGP, OSPF, VRF#s, and Traffic Engineering. Experience with Network Access Control and other perimeter security technologies. Have in-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS/Nexus OS and Cisco Security products and technologies such as Firesight/IPS/ASA/FXOS, Site to Site VPN, NAT/PAT. Knowledge of wireless technologies 802.11a/b/g/n. Ability to read packet traces to identify source of problems. Must have experience with selection and strategic direction for network, security and Wi-Fi technologies. Be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience in a network healthcare environment a strong plus. #[Preferred] Master#s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field Experience with Palo Alto Firewall and Panorama, Aruba wireless, Clearpass and Infoblox. Understanding of Netscaler load balancing products and knowledge of APC Central StruxureWare.
