Job Description

Responsibilities

* Improve the supported unit's ability to plan, synchronize, integrate, and execute Information Operations (IO)
* Conduct multi-disciplined vulnerability assessments
* Provide OPSEC assistance and training
* Assist with the modernization of the network infrastructure
* Provide general network engineering operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the IT enterprise systems engineering life-cycle

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in the Area of Information Technology or Engineering from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college/university program, or four (4) years of equivalent network operations/security operations center (NOC/SOC) practical experience supporting the IC, the DoD, Federal Community or Commercial Industry with three (3) to four (4) years of experience or Masters with zero (0) to two (2) years of experience
* DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) Certifications - Minimum IAT- Level II (CompTIA Security+); IAT- Level III Certification to be acquired either at time of hire (superseding the IAT - Level II Requirement) or acquired upon nine (9) months due after initial date of hire (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP))
* VMWare vSphere (ESXI, vCenter Server) Installation & Setup, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Department of Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Integration
* Server and workstation hardware installation, setup, troubleshooting for Dell and HP Networking Components (i.e., hardware - devices and appliances)
* Practical, hands on experience in setting up and managing Backups - (e.g. NetBackup, Windows Server backup, and NetApp Virtual Storage Console (VSC))
* Practical, hands on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) instances setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and STIG Integration
* Practical, hands on experience with the establishment and management of Workstation imaging services (e.g. Free Open Ghost (FOG), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Symantec Ghost Solutions Suite (GSS))

Preferred Qualifications:

* Network Vulnerability Scanning via Nessus and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) NESSUS - Vulnerability Scanner for Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM). IAVM Alerts and Bulletins Resolution and Mitigation Strategy and Execution
* Familiarity with Virtual Environments (Virtual Machines//Virtual Machine Environment [VM/VME] setup, maintenance and VM Configuration and Adjustment of Contents, as required to support Training Needs to other CSD Network Engineering O&M Team Members and to 1st IO CMD, 2d BN Missions (e, g. Windows, LINUX, vSphere). Contents may include setup of many types of real world scenario applications and services with such examples as follows -
* Windows Domains, AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, HBSS, SCOM, SCCM, Exchange, SharePoint,
* WSUS, SQL, JBOSS, DDS, File sharing services, Print services, Linux


* Classroom setup and troubleshooting - A/V, multi-display, multi-input, reimaging workstations, lab environment setup
* Networking (basic knowledge) and practical experience in performing O&M (e.g., setup and installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, defect resolution and lifecycle management) for the following Virtual and Traditional Information Technologies and Network Device/Appliance Types -
* CISCO
* VMware Virtual Switches
* Virtual LANs (VLANs)


* Maintenance of either Manual or Automated Inventory of Hardware by performing Item Identification and Location and CSD Internal Inventory Management Documentation Updates and Maintenance of Inventory lists;
* Production of HW, Systems and Security Engineering Deliverables through the use of Microsoft VISIO and other Microsoft Office Products [e.g., Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint] - including technical documentation, white papers, artifacts and engineering work products (EWPs - e.g., Enterprise and System Architecture Documents such as Rack and Wiring Diagrams, Network Topologies)

Clearance

Clearance: Position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
