Network Engineer:

Lighthouse is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing IT team. This hands on position is responsible for implementing, operating, documenting, maintaining and optimizing the Lighthouse global network infrastructure. Under the direction of the Sr. Director IT Systems Engineer, the Network Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of managing our network infrastructure and collaborating with other engineers to best meet the needs of our internal and external user base.

What You Will Do:

* Operate and maintain all network equipment and network software related to the Lighthouse environment. This includes routers, switches, wireless access points, LAN/WAN, firewalls, Application Load Balancers, security appliances, etc.
* Monitoring, trending and reporting of the capacity and performance of the global network
* Capacity planning
* Troubleshooting network incidents and problems - this includes on-call responsibilities
* Participate in formal incident response processes for priority incidents
* Work outside normal business hours when required - scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute requests
* Proactive recommendations for the network environment
* Ability to troubleshoot network issues
* Assist Application Engineers and System Engineers in troubleshooting
* Create and maintain network configuration data and inventory
* Work with vendors and contractors on equipment integration
* Security and regulatory compliance
* Scripting proficiency
* Scripting proficiency
* Follow Change Management guidelines and processes
* Participate in IT process improvement projects
* Communicate with colleagues, management, customers, vendors and others in a professional manner
* Recommend and implement policies and standards
* Maintain contact with outside organizations in the maintenance, service, and/or purchase of components of the network infrastructure
* Cisco IOS and NX-OS experience
* Familiarity and experience with major routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIPv2
* Create and maintain secure networks in public/private cloud environments
* Performs other related duties as required

What You Will Need:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Requires 3 - 6 years of experience in supporting network environments at an enterprise scale and data networking installation, operation and support in a distributed environment
* Enterprise experience with Cisco platforms, high availability of Cisco switching/routing and integration experience with circuit provider services, such as MPLS and SIP Preferred
* Professional certification such as the CCDP, CCNP, CCNA, desired. ITIL certification a plus
* Familiarity with Windows, Windows Server, Linux and Unix
* Scripting proficiency, preferably multiple languages
* Expertise in TCP and UDP including ability to interpret packet captures
* Ability to take initiative and exercise professional judgement
* Demonstrated communication and documentation skills
* Excellent service-oriented, can-do attitude
