TSR Consulting has been asked by their valued client, a global professional services company providing Audit, Tax and Advisory Services, to assist with their need for the following role:

Network Engineer

Location - Dallas, TX or St. Louis, MO

6 month contract

We do not work with 3rd party vendors on C2C

Responsibilities:

* Establishes and maintains network performance by building network configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems; project technical leadership.
* Establishes network environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
* Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance and making recommendations; troubleshooting network problems and outages; providing guidance to Network Operations during upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
* Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
* Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.

Skills:

* Minimum five years of experience in IT operations including Network, Security Operations, Reliability Engineering, Operating System management, performance monitoring and analysis.
* Root cause troubleshooting and analysis.
* Minimum of 3 years in architecture and / or IT R&D - Project Management, Problem Solving, LAN/WAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, SDN, ACI, Network Design and Implementation, Network Troubleshooting, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Performance Tuning
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Visio for network diagramming and documentation
* Certifications: CCNP, CCIE preferred Experience with PaloAlto F5, Forescout and Bluecoat
