Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking a fast-learning, organized and self-motivated Network Administrator with excellent time management skills to provide technical support in a Microsoft Windows network environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills, need minimal direction, and have a passion for Information Technology. This position requires that candidates be located in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
* Provide End-User support for Windows devices * Install/remove/update/support and troubleshoot desktop and network hardware, operating systems and software issues * Perform Network administration services, day-to-day operations, management of servers, routers and firewalls * Monitor security and event logs, investigate events, provide appropriate solutions as needed * Manage Backup and disaster recovery operations * Administer Microsoft Office 365 and Azure accounts * Create & maintain procedures and documentation for internal use * Work on infrastructure/network related projects such as operating system and hardware upgrades, network expansion and deployment of end-user applications * Manage hardware and software inventory * Provide Information Technology Help Desk functions * Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
* Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the IT or Information Security fields * Thorough knowledge of Networking technologies especially in a Windows environment * Thorough knowledge of Windows Active Directory and client OSs * Knowledge of Office 365 administration and the MS Office Suite of apps * Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and wireless communications * Familiarity with setting up routers, switches and other network hardware * Familiarity with PC Hardware, ability to troubleshoot basic hardware problems * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent organization and time management skills * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with Microsoft Azure * Experience with Help Desk ticketing software * Experience with PKI, Certificate management and CACs * Experience with MS SQL Server * Experience with Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V / VMWare) * Experience with Containerization technologies (Docker / Kubernetes) * Microsoft Technical Certification * Security+ Certification
