Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening to provide Technical Support and TCS subject matter expertise (SME) for the Systems Engineering team. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with the government to develop solutions that allow them to carry out submarine missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in mission systems integration, development, and operations support to fleets and the organization. Key Responsibilities
This Technical Support role provides TCS subject matter expertise (SME) and assistance to the TCS Systems Engineering team. Responsibilities include working with the team to help derive TCS system and subsystem level requirements and corresponding design. Strong documentation skills and strong time management skills are a must. This position includes supporting customer meetings and related tasking. This includes participation in weekly working groups to help design new capabilities and improvements leading up to program milestone reviews. Additional responsibilities include assisting with test procedures related to new design. Candidate must be able to grasp and apply new information quickly, demonstrate initiative on assignments and professionally execute projects with direction.
US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) experience is REQUIRED.

Submarine AN/BYG-1 TCS system experience
High proficiency in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of the Systems Engineering process
