Environments Data Services is a global team that focuses on providing 24/7 operational support for our customer environments, as well as up taking new technologies and services and ensuring successful deployment to these live environments. We are looking for a MySQL Administrator to help us develop, design and improve our database solutions.

Specifically, you will:

* Provide support for large scale MySQL instances across production and development environments
* Serve in an on-call rotation as an escalation contact for critical production issues
* Focus on automation to improve availability and scalability in our production environments
* Help architect existing and new services in our production environments
* Manage replication and maintain high availability

About you:

* You enjoy working in a collaborative environment with multiple teams across different time zones
* You love to be challenged and like working in high pressure situations
* You have exceptional communication skills and work well in a team environment where the goal is to spread knowledge

You should have

* Strong proficiency in MySQL database management
* Decent experience with replication configuration in MySQL
* Experience with large-scale high-performance distributed systems
* Strong understanding of hardware performance, memory and I/O
* Working understanding with CentOS
* A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

It would be nice if you have:

* Fluency in Python, Perl, Ruby, Chef and other languages
* Knowledge of Hadoop HDFS
