Description:

The Database Administrator is responsible for the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansions.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, especially in performance tuning, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Functions:

* Would be responsible for maintaining and supporting all Production/QA/development MS SQL servers.
* Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
* Working with multiple project teams on database design and best practices.
* Help developers to performance tune code related to database access.
* Provide support for critical production systems.
* Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required
* Extensive DBA experience with MS SQL Server 2014 and up
* Expertise in Database Administration on Production Servers with server configuration, monitoring, performance tuning and maintenance with outstanding troubleshooting capabilities
* Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
* Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications:

* Hands on experience in high availability and redundancy options, Database mirroring, Availability groups
* Ability to efficiently work with multiple teams.
* Audit/approve developers' change requests to existing tables, stored procedures, indices, constraints, triggers and views
* Familiar with Full-Text indexing and searching.
* Familiar with SQL Server Analysis Services.
* Performance tuning and optimization, reading a query plan
* Knowledge of the internals of SQL Server in detail
