SAIC, the sole provider of the Remote Sensing (RS) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team in El Segundo, CA has an immediate need for a young engineer with either some experience, or a Masters in Systems Engineering who can perform Model Based Systems Engineering and DoDAF product development for the RS Enterprise. Candidate will provide SE&I support to the SBIRS and Space Based Environmental Monitoring Enterprise programs in support of the Space and Missile Systems Center RS Directorate (SMC/RS). Major duties of the position include:
* Developing DoDAF products to support program milestones and documentation
* Defining program architecture baselines, and identifying impacts of proposed changes to those baselines
* Performing analysis activities supporting architecture development and control
* Conducting technology trades of the system architecture
* Supporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studies
* Supporting integration of architectures with other components of the technical baseline.
* Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Air Force
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, or Engineering
* Active Top Secret Clearance
* 5+ years of demonstrated Systems Engineering and 2+ years of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
* Experience with DoDAF and architecture development
* Understanding of architecture development tools and tool capabilities, specifically using Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA) or other MBSE tools
* Understanding of fundamental architecture development and management processes
* Familiarity with Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with Space systems (especially at SMC), Space-Based Environmental Monitoring systems, OPIR systems, and ground and space system acquisition
* Understanding of System interfaces
* Understanding of relationship and linkage of program requirements to architecture elements
* Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
Desired Qualifications
* Advanced Degree in Math, Science, or Engineering
* Active TS/SCI Clearance
* Experience with Space-Based Environmental Monitoring programs and SBIRS-specific experience highly desired
