Job Description

Position Summary

Our team builds complex search solutions on top of scalable architectures that allow us to support hundreds of thousands of users and large data sets. We're working hard to build the most advanced set of business data and analytics on the market. We move fast and take great pride in what we're building.

The Software Engineer will work on developing and implementing internal web tools, backend applications, and data production processes in D&B engineering. This position works closely with other software engineers, product managers, data QA engineers, and the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with the content development team to orchestrate large-scale data processing
* Develop internal tools for monitoring and reporting
* Work with operations team to deploy and tune production systems.
* Must be comfortable developing in script languages and programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, C#, Scala, etc).
* DevOps work in AWS or Azure cloud platforms and on-prem systems
* Occasionally develop stored procedures and SQL scripts for Postgres, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL relational databases.
* Will use GIT and JIRA tools for daily tasks.
* Attend daily standups and participate in sprint planning and grooming meetings.

Key Requirements:

* A thirst for knowledge, learning, and problem solving. We are looking for motivated, smart people to help build the next generation Infrastructure as Code platform.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum three to five years of high-tech industry and/or IT work experience in product engineering, development and/or support functions.
* Strong oral/written communication, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
* Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as the practical application of data structures and algorithmic complexity.

Would be Especially Cool:

* Experience with big data, especially if you've used highly concurrent systems like Spark, Storm, or Hadoop to analyze data.
* Experience with machine learning algorithms.
* Experience working in public cloud a plus (AWS or Azure)
* Experience with functional languages like Scala, Haskell, or Clojure.
* Experience with search technologies like elasticsearch or Solr.
