Are you interested in a role that provides you exposure and experience in all facets of the functional organization? If so this role is for you. The Autonomous Design Center of Excellence Software Organization Technical Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating activities across the software directorate. In addition, the Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing software strategic initiatives. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities Include:

* Directorate Level Staffing Lead

o Works across departments and develops directorate level staffing plan

o Represents software directorate for staffing needs with Talent Acquisition

o Develops& executes staffing strategies in collaboration with department managers& Integrated Product Team (IPT) managers

* Execution of directorate strategies & initiatives

o Develops executes software directorate NCTA & capital requests

o Chairs software strategic technical roadmaps with senior technical fellows, consultants & architects

* Directorate level coordination (e.g. across Departments & IPT Managers)

o Monthly Metrics Assessments for FHR review

o Coordinates quarterly performance management reviews along with rank & stack assessments

o Coordinates training plans across IPT leaders and department managers

* Communications

o Executes communication plans for the directorate

o Develops executive level weekly status report

o Develops and coordinates monthly manager meeting forum communication

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university


* Minimum of 7 years of Engineering Experience


* Prior functional management experience


* Experience as a software team lead


* Candidate must be able to obtain interim secret clearance to start and must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret or Top Secret level.



Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree


* Good understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
* Experience w/ taking top level concepts and translating into detailed plans & execution


* Prior experience with agile methodologies


* Prior experience with staffing large programs


* Strong written and communication skills


* Prior experience with briefing executive level leadership


* Secret or Top Secret Clearance
