As an integrator you will learn the design principles of new systems by attending design reviews to determine their architecture, operations and interfaces. As a Section Manager you will lead specialized technical testing to demonstrate system performance to our customers, typically including live fire testing in the field. The Radar Systems (RS) Department Section Manager will be responsible for management of a group of approximately 20 engineers working multiple engineering disciplines and various programs. Specific responsibilities include:
* Executing employee performance assessments, including administration of performance development summaries and associated activities
* Coaching and career development
* Planning and tracking employee task assignments
* Ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures
* Oversight of personnel issue resolution
* Timecard approvals
* Coordination of section meetings
* Support to the Department Manager and Directorate
* Prepare communication
* Collaborate in a team environment
* Lead by example and align with Raytheon Values and Behaviors.
* Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Manager duties on average are 10% of the manager's time
Required Skills:
* Eight (8) + years overall engineering experience
* Experience in the operation, test and troubleshooting of complex military systems
* Demonstrated success leading a project or program team
* Experience with software/systems integration planning and execution
* Working knowledge with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Required: This position requires an active security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
* Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System or similar budget tracking system)
* Knowledge with the Performance Development Process
* EVMS Certified Level II
* Certified Six Sigma Specialist
* Experience with Raytheon's Proposal Capture Process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates, and White Sheet Development)
* Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process and Engineering Labor Forecasting (ELF) System
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge with business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
* Master's Degree in Engineering
Required Education (including Major):
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related curriculum
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
