Position Overview

E3/Sentinel seeks a Master Project Scheduler to join our team in support of a client within the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The Master Project Scheduler will assist Portfolio and Project Managers in schedule organization and execution of multiple projects implementing "big data" solutions to facilitate optimal risk-based decision making and threat analysis. Upon joining the team, the Master Scheduler will be expected to rapidly integrate into a dynamic operating environment, establishing credibility with leads and technical subject matter experts while proactively developing scheduling artifacts for both in-progress and new initiatives.

Responsibilities

* Prepare comprehensive project schedules (at the project and contract level) and assist with the management of project milestones
* Maintain project schedules in order to accurately reflect work progress, aligned resources, changes in requirements, and impediments to progress
* Assist with the management of resources within the schedule through the project/model lifecycle
* Monitor progress across all projects, establish and measure performance against schedule baselines and notify program leadership of any deviations from existing/current schedule(s)
* Produce integrated schedule and project variance reports regularly documenting any variances on timeline or costs as well as monitoring impacts of interdependencies within the schedule
* Understand numerous facets of scheduling and contribute to the development of new scheduling concepts, techniques, and standards
* Provide Program PMO with strategic and expert level knowledge on project management, schedule management, and project execution
* Brief senior contract and government stakeholders, both in person and in writing, on scheduling issues and risks

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in performing project management activities, specifically project scheduling and management
* Certified Scrum Master certification
* Knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices
* Demonstrated experience applying JIRA, MS Project, and/or Confluence in the management of one or more projects
* Ability to conduct analytic assessments of work plans and progress reports to identify strengths and address weaknesses
* Ability to work collaboratively with all team members and be proactive in organizing PMO outreach to project managers and leads to gather and report on schedule critical information
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Familiar with Microsoft office suite of programs, especially MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
* Must hold a current CBP Background Investigation clearance
* Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

* Completed CBP Background Investigation clearance preferred
* DHS Experience is preferred
* Project Management Professional certification desired
* Experience working in a team and deploying solutions in an iterative or Agile/DevOps continuous integration and delivery environment using lifecycle management methods and tools
* Experience resolving complex trade-offs related to project scheduling and resourcin
