The team at Duck Creek helps insurance companies bring amazing ideas to life quickly and easily with software that thinks and works like they do. Our certainty that there is always a better way to do things keeps carriers ahead of their competition and is helping to reshape an industry.

If having a hand in transforming one of the world's oldest and largest industries into a standard for innovation, open exchange, and peerless user experience sounds exciting, let us know. We may be looking for you.

UX Architect - Manager

A UX Architect can articulate a clear design solution and align others to that goal. The needs of this role take different forms that vary across each project, but in all cases the UX Architect is expected to follow and manage a self-defined process. In some instances, they may need to manage other UX resources in a skill group leadership perspective. A UX Architect is expected to drive and own design definition, execution and delivery at the project level, and is expected to drive 2-3 design tracks at a time and across multiple Products as the UX process owner, typically multiple direct or indirect reports. The UX Architect is also expected to have an opinion: provide big-picture analysis, identify potential project risks and process improvements, manage scope (and point out any scope creep) and ensure alignment with other UX tracks, as well as help with creation of delivery artifacts when needed.

You are an experienced Interaction designer with 7-10 years' experience and a solid background of balancing great design with solid UX process management. You can drive successful solution for complex design problems. You can lead design discussions to stakeholder consensus using a mix of compromise and pragmatism, and then iterate with your team to knock it out of the park. You understand Lean UX methodology and use rapid iteration and validation to identify and close on a solution approach. You aim for the hard parts first, because they present the greatest challenge with the biggest unknowns, knowing that the rest will follow suit.
