SUMMARY

As a Manager, Software Test Automation at E*TRADE Financial, you will manage a high-functioning team of Quality Assurance software engineers delivering quality testing for back-end software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage a team of both full time onsite and offshore engineers as they test applications for production readiness
* Be hands-on to help direct reports solve complex problems and code when necessary.
* Lead, create and implement test automation strategy and roadmaps for back-end applications
* Coordinate production roll testing staffing and attend production rolls as needed
* Coordinate tool enhancement needs with infra/tools team
* Partner with stakeholders across the technology organization to facilitate smooth quality testing
* Communicate on team's behalf to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Coach, mentor, motivate and professionally develop team by designing, implementing, scheduling and tracking
* individualized training programs
* Interface and consult with other managers within the organization to coordinate activities
* Work in an agile environment with various scrum teams, using test management tools such as JIRA / XRAY

Basic

* BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Experience working with one or more of the following languages - Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript
* 7+ years in information technology/software development with a proven ability to ensure high quality results
* 3+ years managing quality automation teams or engineering teams
* Exposure to the Atlassian tool set - Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc.

Preferred

* Domain knowledge of market data and financial instruments strongly preferred
* 3+ years working in agile software development
