Job Description

Workday is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead our Talent Optimization Application Development team. The role will involve collaborating with multiple stakeholders who can contribute to delivering the Benefits Module within the Talent Optimization product. The team's overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of high performing features in a truly agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a mixture of delivery, tech and management experience.

About the Role:

* Lead a software application engineering team that will serve the Talent Optimization Application Development team


* Recruit and train top talent to build a strong team in a rapidly changing environment


* Foster a fun and productive development environment


* Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Assurance to determine release scope and ensure that features meet requirements


* Coordinate releases that span multiple teams and technologies


* Build productive relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization and keep them informed throughout the development cycle


* Ensure projects are planned, estimated, scheduled and delivered on-time with high quality


* Hold yourself and others accountable for understanding and consistently practicing our values

About You:

* 5+ years of experience managing teams within a large development organization


* Expert in object-oriented software design and development


* Engaged in mentoring your team for career growth and personal development


* Passionate about delivering innovative technical solutions and customer satisfaction


* BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
