What You'll Do Here:

The Manager, Quality Assurance has responsibility for all aspects of testing Web Assign content. This includes all activities during the Content development life cycle, while meeting the design guidelines, quality standards and internal stakeholders' expectations. The most important aspects of the job are employee growth, communication, and coordination. They will also ensure that the team is working to capacity and that there is nothing blocking the team's work. They are also responsible for the growth of their team members.

* Manage teams of CEQA engineers across one or more projects, programs or engagements.
* As a member of project/program part of the program team, you will be responsible for maintaining, and monitoring Content QA process and procedures, defining best practices and own delivery of the CEQE team.
* Review of plans, test cases, schedules, and testing strategies to validate requirements and meet customer commitments.
* Participate in document inspections with CEQA leads and engineers, marketing, development, and documentation.
* Identify new technology and tools that can be applied to testing of applications and business processes.
* Perform data analysis, prepare test briefings, and write test reports.
* Develop and maintain project schedules and resource plans clearly defining ownership.
* Coordinate resource/staffing plans with the various stakeholders.
* Direct activities, assign responsibilities, set and assess contributor performance expectations and motivate team members toward achieving project objectives.
* Mentor junior team members on the roles and responsibilities of their job assignments.
* Leading quality efforts (Content & Content automation) with help of remote CEQA teams and also participating in agile team meetings (Sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups) and keeping the remote team informed and up to date.
* Work with integrated teams and 3rd party systems and making sure that there is CEQA coverage against code/config changes by them

Skills You Will Need Here:

* BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
* Excellent knowledge of software quality assurance for web applications built on Java, .NET and open source technology stacks.
* Experience leading teams of 5-20 team members across one or more projects.
* Mentor junior team members on the roles and responsibilities of their job assignments.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting QA designs/solutions/methodology to clients/customers and senior leadership.
* Strong experience in manual and test automation. Should have hands-on experience in industry-leading test tools like Selenium, QTP, UFT, QC. Experience in mobile testing tools is a big plus.
* At least 10 years of software test development and project management experience, including 2-4 years in management /leadership of direct reports
* Experience in the design and development of test automation solutions.
* Process minded with a strict regard to detail.
* Strong experience delivering software testing in an agile development environment.
* Proven record of accomplishments for successfully planning, designing and executing system tests for enterprise applications.
* BS in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Represent and communicate with direct reports and management in a timely and professional manner.
* Oversee and manage the day to day activities and workloads for multiple teams.
* Organizes and follows up on tasks, schedules, and bugs.
* Provide time estimates and resource requirements.
* Works with other departments to integrate systems enhancements as needed.
* Adheres to industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
* Enforces QA engineering standards and best practices.
* Analyzes and contributes to the development of test process documents.
* Handles hiring/termination, performance reviews, and other personnel management responsibilities.
* Actively participates in the continued professional development of team members.
* Delivers regular one-on-one meetings with employees and writes employee reviews.
* Provides mentoring opportunities for QA engineers.
* Notifies human resources of personnel issues.
* Evaluates and contributes to project technical design documents which outline the technical risks and strategies for the project.
