This is a people manager opportunity within the Infrastructure Services and Operational Support Network group, which is responsible for program management supporting the growth, management, and 24x7 upkeep of Facebook's production network and early-stage connectivity initiatives. The Facebook Connectivity team deploys cutting-edge technology to bring more people online to a faster internet. The team works closely with cross-functional partners to support engineering, testing, and pilot deployments across the globe. This person would lead a team of global program managers responsible for enabling the design, implementation and adoption of connectivity solutions in partnership with OEMs and network operators. This position will be located in Fremont, CA, with national and international travel required.

Lead cross-functional programs with partners, project management, network, software, and hardware engineers to architect technical solutions to solve connectivity problems and generate comprehensive documentation and training programs to enable operators and OEMs to deploy connectivity solutions both at-scale and in developing markets.
Interface directly with partners and serve as escalation point for engineering and product teams.
Develop requirements and implementation plans with business partners and executive teams.

Work with globally dispersed team to enable deployment, operations, tooling, and ongoing support for experimental and commercial off-the-shelf wired and wireless connectivity technologies in complex and diverse environments, including integration with mobile operator/ISP networks and testbeds.
Manage the resource allocation and team optimization for effective service delivery.
Establish KPIs as well as tracking and reporting metrics to ensure SLAs are met.
Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and prioritize resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
Develop automation and tooling in support of connectivity deployment initiatives.

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience and competency.
10+ years experience as a people manager.
10+ years of experience leading wired and/or wireless field deployments.
5+ years of work experience in program management with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value via technology solutions, including in developing markets.
Established telecom/connectivity industry presence with demonstrated success at CxO-level partnership and negotiation.
