Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Manager of Workforce Management will have responsibility for configuration and testing of the Kronos Workforce Central Enterprise solution to include working across all functions and divisions in Scholastic to ensure that all businesses can be supported by the platform. This role will support the implementation for the first division to go live on the platform as well as all subsequent division implementations and upgrades.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager of Workforce Management is responsible for managing the day-to-day run support activities for the enterprise Kronos application. This includes:

* Managing, monitoring, and controlling the data interfaces interacting to and from Kronos from other data sources/systems
* Configuring security changes in the environments
* Auditing new workforce policies and procedures
* Leading the KWFC team through system upgrades and the entire UAT process.

Additional Responsibilities:

Application Support

* Overall responsibility for support working with the Functional groups and Operations, Finance, HR and Payroll leaders.
* Day to day leadership of team
* Maintain close coordination with Functional Owners; work with relevant leads to balance workload across resources/technology and application
* Mentor and provide leadership development to team members and promote continuous learning

Security

* Back-up support of security (job role, data roles, security profiles)
* Understand security and data privacy standards
* Responsible for reviewing / approving security requests
* Maintain security documentation and roles
* Responsible for configuring changes to security setup within Kronos
* Following and maintaining proper SOX and/or internal security controls
* Prepare for and participate in internal security audits and/or internal/external audits where required
* Potentially support security changes where available

Release

* Lead UAT team for Kronos regular releases
* Develop plan and testing strategy and evaluate regression testing tools
* Reviews release notes and works with team to assess impacts and coordinate integration testing
* Responsible for reviewing weekly release, determining potential impacts and coordinating
* Responsible for coordinating ongoing small to medium enhancements (testing, migration)
* Kronos Workforce Central Lead contact with STS for maintaining overall release plans and release coordination across and associated applications

Solution

* Kronos Workforce Central SME working with STS solution architect spanning integrations, reports, mass data loads, and release mgmt. (pertaining to integrations)

Integrations

* Collaborate with other architects and technical leads on design decisions and direction
* Approve relevant migration changes once received from STS
* Work across various platforms that integrate with Kronos
* Understand and follow data governance
* Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices
* Perform regression testing on integrations

Reporting

* Review and approve related calculated fields for reporting
* Oversee the creation of new or enhanced reports and review and approve for migration to production
* Query data warehouse for archived iSeries data

Other

* Log / maintain tickets in ticket tracking system
* Monitor tickets
* Work on multiple enhancements / projects and other duties as assigned

HOW YOU CAN FIT

* Experience with Kronos Workforce Central Timekeeper, Accruals, Attendance, Activities, and Scheduler modules preferred
* Kronos iSeries and Workday configuration experience preferred
* Prior experience in Service Management (Application Support Service Delivery)
* Knowledge of web services, SOAP, WDSL, XML, XSLT or XPATH preferred
* SOX knowledge where required
* Kronos (functional knowledge, architecture, configuration, data models, security, reporting and integrations) needed
* Kronos WIM and SQL or advanced query language skills preferred
* System architecture knowledge preferred
* Data Warehouse reporting and implementation experience a plus
* Strong communication skills and customer Service orientated
* 3-5 years related experience required
* 1-3 years prior supervisory experience required
* Ability to work with remote team members
* 1 - 3 years prior experience leading a project team and working across all levels of the organization
* Associate or bachelor's degree in related discipline desired
