Responsibilities

The Manager of Workday Operations reports to the ERP Director in the Enterprise Information Services (EIS) division. Provides direction to and coordinates the activities of staff in EIS. Works closely with management and staff in the People Operations (HR) division to define functional requirements of the Workday HR solution. Develops process and technology solutions to support corporate needs.

KEY FUNCTIONS

* Coordinates design, configuration/development, and testing activities across multiple groups in EIS and People Operations to ensure an optimal Workday HRIS solution.
* Collaborates with the SAP development team to ensure cohesive ERP operations.
* Manages budgeting and staff for corporate resources, and oversees contractor and consultant support.
* Provides task planning, schedule, and labor estimates for proposed work assignments. Advises supervisors and other managers of resource needs and capabilities.
* Recommends staffing needs, reassignments, transfers, and terminations. Recommends and assists evaluation of potential staff additions. Conducts performance reviews, recommends performance improvements, career development, and promotional actions.
* Plans and manages efforts to evaluate, acquire, implement, and operate information services.
* Ensures proper production systems standards, controls, and procedures are documented and enforced. Implements policies, practices, and operating processes and recommends changes and improvements to supervision. Responsible for compliance with security monitoring, processes, and recommendations.
* Coordinates communication about EIS services to the rest of the corporation. Prepares written and oral reports of organization's activities, issues, and accomplishments to higher management, subordinates, and teaming organizations.
* Participates in day-to-day technical activities and task accomplishments. Monitors and evaluates processes, techniques, and performance. Reviews documentation and delivery of services.
* Provides customer support through schedules, status reports, briefings, presentations, and training. Works closely with customers to coordinate tasking, report progress, resolve technical issues, and assure project success. Initiates and coordinates exchanges of technical information with other work groups and organizations.

Qualifications

Required

* 8 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
* Demonstrated ability to assess customer and corporate IT needs and successfully devise and execute technical plans
* Management, Team lead, or Project lead experience
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and corporate staff
* Excellent judgment, problem resolution, negotiation, and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work within established timelines.
* This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. This is issued by the US Government. A US citizenship is required.
