Manager of Customer Success Engineers

Postion to be located in Dallas, TX or Santa Clara, CA

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage a team of Customer Success Engineers (CSEs) to drive our Technical Computing and Model-Based Design products in colleges and universities. You will lead a group of tools experts and, collaborate with worldwide managers and teams across MathWorks. You and your team will drive the success of customers' strategic vision, leveraging our products and services.

Responsibilities

* Lead a team of CSEs to grow the adoption of MathWorks tools across academia.
* Coach and guide team members to develop and execute territory/account plans, customer relationship management, responsiveness, and teamwork.
* Establish and evolve business and team goals, strategies and processes.
* Hire and ramp up new CSEs, as needed.
* Influence academic leaders directly by managing select customer engagements (~20-30% of your time).
* Advocate for the future direction of MathWorks products based on the field's customer interactions.
* Work with cross-functional teams to create or update messaging and demonstrations catering to evolving customer needs

Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience is required. 2 years management experience is required.
* Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time

Additional Qualifications

* 3-5 years managerial experience (software company preferred).
* Customer facing experience (customer success, application engineering, technical support).
* Excellent communication skills: written/verbal skills in both a group and individual settings, keeps others informed, involves the right people in decision making, is proactive and displays strong initiative
* Effective leadership and coaching skills: ability to guide, motivate, and inspire others.
* MS or Ph.D. in engineering, sciences, computer science, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with MATLAB & Simulink is a plus
