ABOUT THIS JOB

Our Integrated Delivery Development team is responsible for partnering with our Care Partners to turn their provider networks into market leading integrated delivery systems. We are reimagining how the network development, network management, and provider relations functions can advance affordable, simple, and personal care for our members. The Manager, Network Strategy will be responsible for the oversight of Bright Health's network strategy for network development, curation, and optimization. This role will be accountable for driving the company's performance by defining and building our best practices for high-performing network design, prioritizing network development priorities across active and new markets, and advancing other strategic initiatives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Own advancement of network design strategy, overseeing development of proprietary Bright standards, alignment to regulatory requirements, and evaluation of development needs across both active and new markets.
* Build and own proprietary Bright standards for quality and access that encompasses individual, practice, and overall downstream ecosystem performance for professional, facility, and ancillary providers.
* Set performance standards for IDD and Market teams regarding network construction for active and new markets, partnering cross-functionally to advance Bright's performance networks.
* Own development plan design and oversight for active and new markets, including but not limited to initial diligence, prioritization, re-prioritization based on network development progress.
* Contribute to the development of best practices for reimbursement structure and levels as well as provider contract negotiation and execution in active and new markets.
* Partner with Product, Compliance, and Legal leadership to lead network-oriented regulatory filing requirements for new market entry, expansion, and ongoing monitoring.
* Build framework to transition Bright's networks into standalone assets that serve both Bright and third parties.
* Partner with other functional leaders of the Integrated Delivery Development team to drive process improvement across contracting, credentialing, provider data implementation, and active market management.
* Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives as an enterprise-wide network expert to ensure enterprise-level initiatives advance our relationship with our provider partners.
* Assess and manage Network Strategy team and external resources (e.g. consultants, vendors) supporting network strategy and network development efforts.
* Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

* This position has supervisory responsibilities for some members of the Integrated Delivery Development team.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

* A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field is required
* A Master's degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field is preferred
* Four (4) or more years of experience in Healthcare is required
* Two (2) or more years of experience with successfully executing and implementing payer-provider contracts or partnerships is required

* Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills with a proven ability to manage multiple people and projects in parallel.
* Strong organizational design capabilities with the ability to creatively and strategically structure complex problems.
* Ability to effectively engage providers, ranging from single physician practices to regional integrated delivery systems.
* Strong teaching and mentorship capabilities to support team members' personal and professional development
* Bias toward action; sense of urgency, self-initiative, and ownership of work.
* Superb written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external executive leadership.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Travel may be required.
