Entercom Communications Corp is seeking a Manager, National Network Operations Center
Responsibilities
* Establish and develop new broadcast and network monitoring protocols with available technology, while aggressively seeking new technologies to further advance the accuracy and effective monitoring & control of Entercom's technical operations.
* Coordinate network accessibility and communication to remote transmitter sites, studios, and remote broadcast sites with corporate IT team.
* Coordinate with the local engineering staff in all 48 of Entercom's markets on new equipment installation, regular critical monitoring testing, and local systems optimization.
* Develop and implement incident management escalation processes, and ensure NOC operators and local engineering maintain an efficient line of communication when incidents occur.
* Build out training procedures and operation workflows for NOC operators.
* Ensures the NOC staff provides effective support of Entercom's Engineering/IT environment and related components, including transmitter performance monitoring and reporting, Wide Orbit, System operation, software updates, and troubleshooting.
* Leads, manages, and develops NOC Engineers and other direct reports.
* Drives the creation of playbooks for critical systems to ensure troubleshooting and escalation processes are executed appropriately.
* Provides timely responses on all incidents, outages, and performance alerts; categorizes escalated issues for appropriate technical teams, using proper documentation and notification.
* Oversee the NOC engineers as they monitor, test, and review systems identifying abnormal activity and collect appropriate data.
* Develop new and improve existing processes and procedures and continuously assess the NOC operations and workflow.
* Collects and review performance statistics across hardware and software to assist technical staff with being prepared for or in predication of future issues or outages.
* Minimum 6 years of Radio broadcast or IT experience.
* Experience with Burk Technology facility remote control hardware and software.
* Expert knowledge of the programming of Burk Arc Plus units and custom views to graphically represent real world issues, allowing NOC operators to efficiently identify and address problems.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on multiple hardware and software platforms.
* Experienced in radio broadcast technology including: transmitter operation and control, STLs, PPM encoding and monitoring, audio path integrity, broadcast consoles, Wide Orbit automation software, Telos Axia Audio over IP protocols, etc.
* Ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures as technology develops and new solutions are found.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other technical department leads across the company to establish functional playbooks for specific solution methods.
* Exceptional organizational skills
