Summary of Job:

You are an accomplished Project Manager who has intimate knowledge of how to navigate complex projects and work across cross-functional teams. You aren't scared of any challenge and thrive in fast-paced environments by bringing organized structure to them. You have a keen eye for details, understand various IT areas such as networking, systems, and communications. You also understand the world of construction as it pertains to IT such as low-voltage cabling, physical security, and audio-visual, and most importantly, understand where IT fits into the larger project when performing large-scale construction. You aren't afraid to roll-up your sleeves when managing multiple projects of varying complexity and are organized to methodically track each milestone and deliverable. You are results driven and enjoy seeing your projects come to fruition to be able to deliver a great product.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

* As lead project manager within the IT project portfolio, responsible for providing supervision, mentorship and professional development to 2U project managers
* Accountable for the successful delivery of complex projects within the IT project portfolio, including projects related to infrastructure, networking, system implementation, communications services, etc.
* Responsible for ensuring that project schedules, costs, and risks related to the IT project portfolio are effectively managed, and that sponsors/stakeholders are apprised of key statuses and developments
* Responsible for managing third party vendors contracted by 2U to carry out construction related activities (e.g., low-voltage cabling, physical security, and audio-visual set up), and for ensuring that IT Infrastructure related needs are accounted for in architectural, engineering, and design specs.
* Responsible for implementing structured and sustainable business processes for the execution of project work.
* Expected to travel to other 2U locations to provide project oversight and coordination on worksite development, expansions, and/or renovations, as needed.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
* 5+ years working as a project manager focusing on corporate/enterprise projects of varying complexity and scale.
* Experience in construction related work.
* Project management certifications such as PMP or CAPM.
* Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and ability to maintain tasks and schedules in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
* Understanding of IT concepts/trades and involvement in construction projects.
* Demonstrated ability to manage/lead a team of employees, contractors, and vendors.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Accurate and precise attention to detail.
