Manager IT Program CSS Modernization

Position Summary:

The Manager plans, coordinates, and manages a portfolio of projects within the CSS Modernization effort. With the guidance of the Director and General Manager, CSS Modernization, the Program Manager actively leads all aspects of the projects from start to finish, including project team definition, project planning, documentation, contract and budget management, full project execution, tracking, reporting, rollout, interfaces with training and support groups, and program communication.

The Manager is comfortable with maintaining a public profile and building relationships throughout the organization. The Program Manager is also able to change priorities and focus to meet business demands, excels when working on complex projects, is motivated to deliver results, and exhibits the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

Essential Responsibilities:

* Actively lead all aspects of a program containing a portfolio of projects, working through multiple Project Managers from start to finish including:
* Program initiation: Define project high-level scope, establish stakeholders, create resource plan, secure funding and manage business cases.
* Program planning: Define project team. Establish resource allocation decisions with Directors/Managers of each product area. Coordinate business partner selection and ongoing business partner management. Establish project criteria and metrics for success.
* Program execution: Collect project documentation, deployment plan, support plan. Interface between Digital and Customer Products team, business units and business partners.
* Program control: Manage changes, risks, scope, cost, quality, communications, time, and procurement.
* Program closure: Collect formal acceptance, evaluate established success criteria to determine success.
* Provide direct or indirect oversight of delivery teams for applicable portfolio initiatives
* Position also creates a program-tracking tool as well as manages, updates, and reports on programs on a regular basis.
* Establish and manage multiple project plans, identifying critical path activities and dependences.
* Define each project's high-level scope, establish key stakeholders, and collaborate with business owners to create formal business case and secure funding through JetBlue's business case process
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree
* Five (5) years continuous project management experience with airline technology or CSS related products (revenue management, customer support, airports etc.
* Ability to translate technical knowledge into business terms and present operational information to executive leadership
* Awareness of and experience with industry standard project management and development methodologies
* Demonstrated leadership through project/team management
* Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Visio
* Experience managing a budget
* Strong interpersonal, leadership and managerial skills including the ability to motivate others
* Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
* Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments
* Ability to manage risk
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)
* Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
* Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)
* In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
* Able pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

* Experience managing a large scale multi project budget
* Experience Managing a full program or initiative, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership
* Thorough knowledge of airline business functions and thorough knowledge of airline business operations, objectives and strategies (i.e. IT, Revenue Management, Customer Support and Airports)
* Exposure to JetBlue's IT disciplines and interdependencies and business units and how their needs drive IT strategy

Crewmember Expectations:

* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
* Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
* Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
* Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
* Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
* Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
* Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
