Job Description

Overview

This individual will be responsible for the holistic transition of American Standard IT Infrastructure from a very traditional on premise hosting environment to the Cloud. Will be overseeing the cloud environment maturity, continuous improvement and will manage all aspects of cloud operations including operation budget and cost reduction (vs current environment).

Responsibilities

* Develop Cloud migration strategies and techniques to maximize benefits including mass workload migrations into the cloud.
* Ensure cloud migration and operations meet budget and time requirements.
* Work on all project phases including fit/gap, configuration, setup and testing.
* Generate cloud migration roadmaps and driving buy-in across complex organization structures.
* Analyze application portfolios, identifying dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility.
* Deep IT migration subject matter expertise.
* Architect cloud-based solutions for application clusters and technology patterns.
* Collaborate with application teams and managed services partners to build and execute plans for migrating applications to the cloud.
* Collaborate with internal infrastructure support teams on requirements for public and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
* Cost/Benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases for migration.
* Ensure the consistent application of the company's technology processes, methodologies, and governance.
* Are the internal and external facing SME across all public cloud platforms, providing external evangelism as well as internal training and enablement.
* Anticipates future direction of the business and drives technology strategy.
* Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
* Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
* Leads others to solve issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trends.
* Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.

Qualifications

* Min 5 years of experience in IT industry and 5 years' experience with AWS and other Cloud platforms
* Bachelor's degree in IT, business or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
* Superior professional presence and business acumen; excellent skills in communication, technical presentations, and contract negotiation.
* IaaS expert with deep knowledge in transforming existing infrastructure environments
* Proven SAP cloud experience
