What you'll be doing...

We are seeking a high caliber leader and a results-oriented Engineering Manager for our Cloud Platform Engineering - CI/CD Services team. You will manage different facets of the DevOps function within Verizon.You are responsible for managing, supporting and architecting applications such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Ansible, Spinnaker.

* Assist in the implementation of security best practices and initiatives at all levels of the CI / CD processes.
* Ensure maximum uptime of DevOps environments, including production, staging, testing, and development environments.
* Lead a team of software developers and DevOps engineers to provide leadership, guidance, decision making around engineering efforts.
* Lead a team to solve complex challenges in a collaborative environment that is full of A+ players who love innovating, executing, and delivering.
* Work with other functions to co-develop roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, ensure business continuity, and provide analytics and post-mortems related to engineering and product.

What we're looking for...

You will have:

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical disciplines.
* Sevenor more years ofexperience in technical, infrastructure, architecture, and/or development team leadership.
* Managerial experience in implementing DevOps and cloud automation and orchestration across multiple clouds, including supporting services such as build pipeline and CI/CD, automation and orchestration management, containerization, and cloud security.
* Experience with multi-cloud deployments including AWS, Oracle Cloud, GCP and multi-cloud deployments tools.
* Strong technical knowledge in Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonarqube, Bitbucket and other SDLC automation tools.
* Strong experience in Build and CICD technologies Bitbucket, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus or Sonar.
* Experience in configuration management tools and techniques using Ansible or Chef or Puppet.
* Knwledge and experience with DevOps and Cloud technologies and concepts.
* Seven or more years of experience working in software or systems Engineering role.
* Three or moreyear of experience with Jenkins,two or moreyears of experience with Artifactory.
* Experience designing, building and managing large scale infrastructure in AWS including EC2, RDS, Cloudwatch, S3, and Route53.
* Knowledge and working experience of container-based deployments such as Docker, CloudFormation, and AWS ECS and Elastic BeanStalk or Kubernetes.
* Working knowledge of several configuration management systems such as Chef, Ansible, and Terraform as well as several monitoring tools and frameworks.
* Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
* Security experience and knowledge of hardening systems and pipelines.
* Strong scripting and automation skills using bash, Golang, Python, or related.
* Verbal, written communication and organizational skills, along with interpersonal skills that allow for collaboration across a diverse group of people.
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously of varied scale and complexity on schedule and within budget.
* People leadership skills, including highly effective communication skills.
* Collaboration, communication, presentation, and influencing skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of cloud and proven experience leading teams that deliver large scale DevOps and cloud solutions that realize the agility, scalability, security, and costs benefits of the cloud.
* Experience managing effective teams including managing other managers of teams.
* Ability to manage and influence organizations of both technical and nontechnical specialists.
