Job Description

As an integral part of the Product Management Team, Change Management supports teams developing and deploying leading omni-channel solutions. The work of product management impacts all brands; Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Gap Factory, Banana Republic Factory and Intermix. Your work will impact millions of people worldwide who love our iconic brands.

The Change Management Team facilitates the people side of change across Gap, Inc. by enabling adoption and sustainability of process changes, system rollouts and organizational changes, with the ultimate goal of increasing profitability across Gap, Inc. Change Management is crucial to the on-going success of PdM projects by leading over-arching change management efforts across multiple projects. This includes, but is not limited to, developing Program-Level change strategy and providing change leadership from inception through post-adoption assessment.

The Stores Change Manger will work with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to deploy technology to both our internal and external customers. They focus on enabling the people side of change for these implementations, including assessing and articulating the level of change needed for business processes, systems and technology and job roles. The primary responsibility will be creating and executing Prosci-based change management strategies that equip our global teams with the awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement needed to maximize end-user adoption, minimize business disruption, and strengthen our institutional change acumen.

* Support multiple change efforts across Gap Inc.


* Assess the need and plan for change management and readiness activities associated with major new technology initiatives.


* Conduct detailed impact assessment to document all impacts of process or tool change to determine user support and resistance.


* Implement a holistic change management strategy to drive adoption, including leader engagement and communication plans, training and development plans and measurement of readiness and post go live adoption.


* Partner with business teams to create messaging and content: PPT, go live messages, inform communications, etc.


* Analyze and measure the results of deployment to adjust solutions, quantify benefits and build adoption.


* Partner with PdM/ Business SMEs to take complex content and break it down to digestible content that business partners understand.


* 4 Years change management experience with a significant technology component or similar expertise (preferably in an agile software development environment)


* ProSci or equivalent certification is preferred


* Experience deploying change in a complex organization required; retail experience is preferred


* Ability to work independently; able to successfully operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity; self-starter and quick learner; calm and efficient under pressure


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills


* Proven experience building strong internal relationships


* Strong problem solving, risk management and negotiation skills


* Natural curiosity, especially about technology
