Job Description

ICI Services is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our growing Information Warfare practice in Washington, DC. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Systems Acquisition, Engineering, Information Warfare, and Logistics solutions to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We need a Machine Learning/Data Science Software Engineer (Junior Level) ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Security Clearance:

* Applicant must be able to obtain and hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance

Responsibilities:

* Create data analytics models to address complex business and technical problems
* Develop custom data analysis algorithms
* Analyze behavior trends and develop customized visualization templates to report on trends and compare alterative courses of action
* Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and models that transform raw data into insightful information
* Design data acquisition and analysis functions to interpret data for trend analysis

Experience Requirements:

Required experience:

* Working-level knowledge of:
* Data Science and/or Machine Learning concepts


* Software development using C++, Java, Python, R, or similar languages


* At least one open source data science platform (Hadoop, Neo4j, R, MongoDB, etc.)


* At least one database platform (either SQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL)


* Data visualization tools and techniques (Tableau, Microsoft BI, SMSS, Qlik, etc.)


* Agile and DevOps processes





Desired experience:

* Demonstrated ability to translate plain language use case descriptions to technical specifications, system/software design elements, and test cases


* Professional experience in software development using C++, Java, Python, R, or similar languages


* Exposure to development of predictive models


* Exposure to design and development concepts for robotics systems (remotely piloted vehicles, drones, etc.)


* Relevant US Navy operational or commercial experience



Educational Requirements:

* Minimum relevant professional experience:
* 0 years + Bachelor Degree in related field, or


* 1 year + Associate Degree, or


* 3 years + High School Diploma
