Job Description

We are seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to join our HR team! The LMS Administrator is responsible for the operation and management of the Cornerstone (CSoD) system. Key responsibilities include system maintenance, customer support, problem resolution, reporting, LMS project administration, and end-user training.

You will collaborate with various groups (HR, Training, Compliance, IT, business leaders, and vendors) to implement changes, enhancements, and new releases for the LMS. You will be responsible for data integrity, documentation and reporting.

This position functions within the HR department. The ideal candidate will have expert, hands-on knowledge of system functionality and quirks, as well as exhibit strong communication, self-management, critical thinking and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a skillset that can handle the day to day administration of the Cornerstone system and also make creative and strategic contribution to learning projects that may require complex LMS involvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Site Administration, Data Integrity and Security
* Responsible for Cornerstone site design (look and feel)
* Provide overall oversight of the system
* Maintain compliance assignments and courses (updates, assignments, notifications, etc.)
* Manage and audit user permissions and role configuration; provide appropriate level of system access
* Ensure overall data integrity and accuracy of data in Cornerstone, including ongoing reconciliation and monitoring
* Provide overall oversight of the system; ensure ongoing operations are stable, error-free, and as efficient as possible)


* Set up new hires and monitor week 1 training completion
* Manage dynamic learning assignments and user groups
* Develop requirements, design, process and other technical documentation and keeps documentation current
* Contribute to shared knowledge management by documenting processes, lessons learned, Q&A, and best practices
* Stays current on CSoD features and functionality, review release notes, participate in release webinars, etc.
* User Support & Communication
* Monitor and update the Cornerstone email inbox and HelpDesk site


* Provide technical support, including troubleshooting end user issues, removing defects or errors, and escalating as needed
* Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for users and coordinate communications regarding system upgrades, changes, and initiatives/projects.
* Manage enhancement and change requests, including tracking & prioritizing backlog requests
* Monitor and troubleshoot daily feeds/APIs between Cornerstone and other systems, like UltiPro


* Reporting
* Complete regular reporting requirements, including regular status reports and weekly/quarterly/yearly reports to management and auditors
* Audit/monitor all data in the LMS, including compliance training

  • Ensure reports are prepared and developed for management.
    * Support others in developing and using LMS reports
    * Create and deliver ad-hoc custom reports
    * Track trends in incident/problem reporting


    * Project & Change Management
    * Seamlessly manage releases and changes to ensure students and administrators are aware of and can effectively use updates through change management, communication strategies and plans
    * Manage internal annual project cycle (building new curricula, launching annual assignments, etc.)
    * Collaborate with internal teams on Cornerstone features to enhance user experience and business efficiencies
    * Evaluate redundancies or inefficients and lead process/system improvement initiatives



    Skills/Knowledge Requirements

    * Deep knowledge of learning management systems (best practices, tips and tools, administration, etc.)
    * Extremely organized and detail-oriented
    * Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written; Comfortable speaking in front of small or large groups
    * Strong analytical skills, including the ability interpret business requests to technical solutions and process mapping
    * Ability to effectively manage and collaborate on various initiatives/projects (anticipate needs, discern priorities and meet deadlines)
    * Demonstrates a willingness and aptitude to learn new tasks and adapt to change
    * Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity and confidentiality
    * Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures
    * Exhibit strong self-management, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
    * Ability to learn new processes rapidly
    * Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

    Education/Experience Requirements

    * Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required
    * Prior LMS Administration experience is required; experience with Cornerstone (CSoD) LMS is strongly preferred
    * Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures
    * Deep knowledge of learning management systems (best practices, tips and tools, administration, etc.)
    * Experience providing technical support for systems, preferably a LMS
    * Certifications in Cornerstone, Project Management, or Information Technology are a plus
    * Experience with change and project management is preferred
